I was hesitant about the metallic and fluorescent shades feeling gimmicky, but they actually lay down beautifully and give my florals a lovely shimmer. The box is surprisingly sturdy for travel, everything snaps shut tight, and the 48 colors mean I rarely have to mix to find what I need.

The box is smaller than I expected but that's a good thing - it fits in my jacket pocket for plein air trips. Every pan snaps in tightly so nothing rattles around, and the included brush handles the fine details well enough that I didn't need my usual rig.

The metallic and fluorescent pans are the real standout—they layer beautifully over the regular colors without getting muddy. I’ve been using it for quick sketches on my lunch break, and the hinged box keeps everything snug and organized. Honestly, for 48 shades in this size, it’s a steal.
